About
I didn't plan on becoming a designer.
I just had something I wanted to build.
Before all this
As a kid, I liked figuring out how things worked. I played with electronics, electricity, drawing and games.
I also spent a lot of time around my father's photography studio. I learned quite a bit just by watching, trying things and occasionally getting them wrong.
Taking a different route
I tried four universities but didn't graduate.
After leaving Quaid-i-Azam University, I spent time learning alongside NCA students in Rawalpindi. I got into drawing, sculpture, 3D and other creative work.
I wasn't enrolled at NCA. I was just curious and wanted to learn.
The bus-ticket idea
At around 20, I started working on MakranTicketz.
Students traveling to Quetta were having trouble booking tickets, getting confirmation and keeping track of their journeys.
I spoke with students, collected responses through Google Forms and started putting together a solution.
I couldn't afford to hire a designer. So I learned UI/UX myself.
My first screens were made in Canva. Later, I discovered Figma and Adobe XD.
I built and tested the prototype, but the transport operators weren't willing to move forward. The app never launched.
Meeting Kamran
I met Kamran at a university admission test.
Neither of us passed. But we exchanged numbers, so at least something came out of it.
Later, he saw some design work I'd shared and contacted me about FindUs.
It started as an idea for students to request teachers. Eventually, we turned it into a marketplace for home services.
I helped rethink the booking experience around a request-and-offer model inspired by inDrive.
These days
Now I'm working on FindUs and Darman.
At FindUs, I work on product design, marketing, product decisions and some frontend development.
At Darman, I work on the experience of connecting people with doctors, alongside operations and product decisions.
I'm the CEO of both, but product design is the work I want to keep growing in.
Want to work together?
I'm open to product design roles with international teams.
